A lightweight background agent for Windows and Linux (X11 and Wayland) tracks the active window — process, title, and how long it held focus — with a single static binary and nothing for users to configure.
Activity is coalesced into clean intervals and rolled up per person, team, application and domain. Map apps and sites to productivity categories and see productive vs. distracting time at a glance.
Only registrable domains are stored — never full URLs, keystrokes, or screenshots. Data is encrypted on the device, sent over HTTPS, and isolated per tenant with database row-level security.
How it works
Push the MSI or .deb/.rpm to your fleet via GPO, Intune, or your config manager. The org token enrols each machine automatically — no user login.
The agent records the active window and idle time locally, spools it encrypted, and works fully offline — nothing is lost if the network drops.
Every five minutes the agent syncs to activitymesh.info. Admins and team managers explore dashboards scoped exactly to the people they’re responsible for.

ActivityMesh is designed for legitimate, disclosed workplace monitoring. It captures what it says it captures, and nothing more: no keystrokes, no screenshots, no full URLs.
Continuous, always-on monitoring of staff carries a legal duty to inform people in advance — under POPIA and RICA in South Africa, and comparable laws elsewhere. ActivityMesh gives you the tooling; telling your team is your responsibility, and the right thing to do.
